Wild forest products can help propel green growth in Europe
Wild forest products such as cork, natural resins, mushrooms, medicinal plants, nuts and berries have huge potential to contribute to green growth in Europe and to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, according to a white paper issued today.
The first ever stocktake of restoring Africas forests and landscapes, launched this week during Africa Climate Week, shows that more needs to be done to fully tap the enormous opportunity for the continent to return land to sustainable production, protect biodiversity, and shield livelihoods in the battle against climate change.
